Meet the Energy Guy

As I develop this website and continuously improve it, my goal is to provide you with the knowledge and resources you need to save money on electric, natural gas, and water utilities.  My name is Patrick Conners and I go by the pen name of  the Energy Guy.  I’m located in Texas, but you can depend on the same energy-saving principles to apply no matter where you live and work.

EnergyGuyThe Energy Guy

Along the journey called life I picked up the name “Energy Guy”.  So when I decided to develop a website about energy, it made sense to use it as my pen name.  I love this stuff.  I’m a licensed professional engineer with 30 years experience in energy and maintenance of buildings.  That includes lots of study, research and field experience.  I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t.  My hope is that the practical information on this site will put more cash in your pocket, help make our world just a little more sustainable, and give you the practical knowledge and tools you need to save energy without sacrificing lifestyle and comfort.

If you’re like many people, you want to save money, be green, be sustainable, keep your customers happy, and do the right thing. But your time is precious, and you have a life outside of “saving energy” so you want some simple steps you can take, steps that work, and maybe a little knowledge about the subject to gain credibility with your friends, colleagues, and customers. If that’s you, my friend, you’ve come to the right place.

In Energy Forums you’ll find practical tips for saving electricity, natural gas and water without all the technical jargon and with a dose of common sense. In my blog articles, I’ll explain what matters and what isn’t worth your time, money and effort. You can even get exposure on the internet by publishing your blog articles on this site.  And in the forums, you can discuss and share ideas with other people from all over the world.  Energy Forums is a resource where you can ask questions and learn what saves money, so you can separate fact from fiction and not be fooled by gadgets and misconceptions that waste money with no benefit.  Along the way I’ll explain why the energy initiatives work, so you can explain your ideas to others and have enough knowledge to take your savings to the next level.

I hope you enjoy learning about saving energy as much as I do.  Together we create a community with the common goal of saving energy.  Everyone benefits.

I invite you to share your comments, participate in the forums, and publish energy-related blog articles of your own.  To publish your article or commentary, just go to the Publish my Article page, login, fill out the form, and click “Submit Post”.  Your blog article will be posted to our collection of articles.  Try it!
